Bria Petite began illustrating at the age of just 5 years old. Using art as an outlet of expression when enduring social and cultural differences attending public schools she began getting involved in leadership clubs. Participating in various projects, such as donating five hundred books to children, raising one thousand dollars for patients with cancer, and being an advocate for campaign "Voices Against Violence", brought her out of her shell. This developed her passion for self-confidence and a positive body image. The idea of a positive body image would earn her a life time passion in the field of design.

She furthered her education at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in the fashion design program. Here she obtained hands on experience sewing, while maintaining her embedded illustration aesthetic of some portrait paintings and drawing from life.

Bria was nominated in 2012 to participate in the Shyne Awards, winning the Illumination Community Service  Award for her youth leadership excellence as a Pittsburgh native. For the Past four years she has been involved in building her skills and getting to know the various design techniques of fashion and illustration. She is experianced with all the areas of fashion, indcluding, styling models in Pittsburgh Fashion week, collaborations with high school students, interning with the Front Porch Theatrics, shadowing designer Kim Brown, which involves, learning about the construction and stage set design. She continues to enhance her illustration skills, being able to tell narratives through her painting, surface design, digital and fashion illustrstion, and continues as a fashion design professional.
